Rail Splitter Society continues the Tax Day Tea Party tradition
On Monday April 18th 2011, the Rail Splitter Society will be hosting the annual Tax Day Tea Party. It will be held at Timothy’s on the Wilmington, DE Water Front near Dravo Plaza.
It appears that this year’s event is a non starter for many so enthusiastic about the concept just one year ago. But not for the Rail Splitter Society members! They are determined to keep the tradition and the spark alive.
The Rail Splitter Society now in its third year of existence is gaining traction and a rather large following. It has been attended by many influential Delawareans: businessmen, professionals and politicians; many of whom have given riveting speeches about the most current events or elections facing our community, state and nation. Valuable information is provided in a non biased format each month so that each member may make his or her own decision on these important issues. National candidates have also attended the meetings and the local press has been spotted there on more than one occasion.
It is an ever growing movement that is non-aligned, slightly right/conservative group populated by everyday people who want to make a difference and want their voices heard. Everyone’s voice in the society attendees is heard and respected; the mandate of the society. Though not always agreeing on all the issues, the common thread that binds the members is their love for the country and the increased concern about the directions it is taking.
On Monday April 18th at 5:00 at Timothy’s their brave tradition of leading the way continues with their holding of the Tax Day Tea Party 2011 edition. All are welcome to join in and have their voices heard. The more that attend the event the greater the likelihood that Washington will hear their voices.
Speakers, attendee interaction, fun and trivia head up this gala event. If you have a few hours on Monday night, try to make this one!
